Kylie Minogue is set to release a brand new single in November - the first since she was diagnosed with breast cancer - and has a dazzling new look to match. The pop princess has given fans a sneak peek of the cover art set to accompany her new song, titled 2 Hearts.

The image shows the style chameleon covered in a mask of diamantes and lashings of hot pink lipstick while surrounded by butterflies. The track has been written and produced by Kish Mauve, a London four-piece electro outfit, and will be the first taste of her forthcoming album, which is due for release in November.

Britney Spears’ big comeback gig at the MTV awards nosedived she struggled to pull off a decent performance. Onlookers held their hands over their mouths as they watched the ‘lazy’ looking star lip-synching her song. Squeezed into a black sequined bra and hot pants, Britney looked out of shape as she attempted to impress the crowds.

Spears was protected by five bodyguards and clubbers were forced to leave the toilets every time she used them. Can you believe that?

Hilton senior, the only member of the family left with a sizeable stake in the huge hotel chain, has let it be known that he intends to donate to charity the $2.4bn he will gain from this month’s sale of the company to private equity firm Blackstone. Paul Potts has won the final of this competition and ins £100,000 and will perform at the Royal Variety Performance. After opening the show with a stirring performance of Puccini’s Nessum Dorma, Potts, from Port Talbot, received a standing ovation from the live studio audience and was unanimously praised by the programme’s three judges, Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.

After his victory was announced Simon Cowell confirmed that Paul will be in a recording studio next week, recording his own album.
