Have you ever wonder to see how cartoon was made?
This video, demonstrating the Magic Moving Images book, shows how with nothing more than a piece of acetate and a pair of hands, the reader can make the images in the book come to life. Sort of.
It’s not entirely clear what purpose this serves in an age when people have phones with integrated DVD players and Dolby surround sound, and can download the thoughts of Big Brother contestants directly into their brains before uploading their excrement to YouTube – but then, it was never entirely clear what purpose the Magic Eye books served, either. And look how many they sold, before everybody got tired of giving themselves a headache for twenty minutes just to see a silhouette of a dolphin.
