WHAT does a bull race in Spain and three naked women have in common with Centre Square in Middlesbrough?
The women were from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and were protesting about the famous Running Of The Bull event in the Spanish town of Pamplona.
The PETA members are going to 14 towns across the UK to recruit people who will join their protest against Pamplona’s bull race and the lethal bull fights which follow it every year.
The Pamplona event happens on July 5 and PETA members will stage their own “Running Of the Nudes” this year to highlight the animal cruelty issue. They staged a similar event last year which attracted 1,000 people.
